* "My first website" (1995-97?) - I can't remember if this site had a title or not, but I do know it was on Geocities, before it had the communities within communities within communities it has now. It was on "Vienna", but I forget the number. It was grey, it was built in their basic pagemaking utility, and it had fascinating information on it like my name, where and what I was studying, and my interests. I actually got an email 'pen-pal' through it, but that was all fairly shortlived. The whole site came about cos my mate Jason told me about this cool site (geocities) where you could have your own free homepage. So I gave it a try. But the extremely limited computer / internet access at uni soon saw to it's neglect, and presumably eventual deletion. Ho hum.

*****

* SpacePort (Autumn 1998 - ? 2000) - This site was intended to be a Star Trek / Sci-fi site. It never really got going, and was pretty much abandoned from the end of 1998. It was eventually deleted.

*****

* Worf's World (Autumn 1998 - ? 2000) - This was basically a place to post pictures of my cat, Mr Worf. I didn't keep it up to date, though, and like SpacePort it was eventually deleted.

* British Buffy (Jan 1999 - April 2001) - This site went through a couple of incarnations and designs, and it was the site that really got me going with designing Buffy sites. It was originally a general Buffy site (based on the show as it came onto TV in the UK, since that's where I am *g*), then more recently I decided to change the focus to just the British characters on the show. I finally decided to close it when I realised I was never going to get the content up to spec. Designs detailed below:

Version 1 (Jan 99 - Mar 99) - This site started out life as a page on Dark Angel's Tower. It had no original graphics, just ones from free graphic sites, and it wasn't very big. However, it started growing, so I made it into a sub-site on it's own.

Version 2 (Mar 99 - Jun 99) - Once I got myself a basic graphics programme, I had a go at making my own site graphics. The design was still pretty basic, but the content wasn't bad.

Version 2.1 (Jun 99 - 13/02/01) - Once I got slightly more used to making my own graphics, I changed the look of the site a bit. This look stayed for a looooong time, because not long after I put this up I embarked on Spiked and Skewered.... and from there all my other sites. *g* Unfortunately, this meant that British Buffy was badly neglected, hence the change of focus with the next version. [CAP]

Version 3 (13/02/01 - 15/04/01) - This version came with the change of focus to just the British characters on Buffy. The basic design and colour scheme stayed the same, though I wasn't 100% happy with it. I did think about redesigning, but closed the site when I didn't have enough time to maintain it. [CAP]

* [dot]Nu Too? (April 01 - 17 July 01) - a webring for sites with .nu domains or subdomains. I started this site when neither Nightbird nor I could find a webring for .nu domains.... when I discovered later that there was one already established, I closed mine. [CAP] [CAP]

* Dark Angel's Tower (Autumn 98 - August 01) - This is the first 'proper' site I produced - it was on general fantasy / horror fiction. I started it using the Geocities basic site builder, but soon decided I wanted more control and began to learn basic html. I didn't have a graphics programme at the time, so all the graphics were from free graphics site. The design was also pretty basic.... it consisted of everything being black and purple, and centred. ;-) This site fell by the wayside when I started my Buffy sites. I took it down, intending to eventually resurrect it one day with a better design and more content, but I finally realised it was never going to happen, and closed it permanently. I still intend to do a general fantasy fiction site, but since I now have more domain names than I know what to do with, it'll no doubt be at one of those instead. :-) [CAP]

* Soulstar Fanfic (& Graphics)
Version 1 (Oct 99 - 09/05/00 - Before I opened this site 'properly', and before the graphics section even existed, it consisted of links to three fanfic series by Stryx, which I'd made themed webpages for. These still existed in version 2.

Version 1.1 (09/05/00 - 17/07/01) - This version hung around for quite a long time *g* It housed my fanfic, Stryx' fanfic, and my graphics (fanart, wallpapers, web graphics). This is the last version of this site as 'Soulstar' because on the redesign I split the two sections into separate sites, and moved the fic site. The index page of the domain now has links to all five of the sites that are hosted there. [CAP]

*****

* Soulfreak (July 01 - 17 Feb 02) - my rambling space for all things BtVS, Angel, Star Trek, Stargate, Andromeda and sci-fi / fantasy / horror in general. Episode reviews, essays, rants, fanfic snippets... basically anything fannish that doesn't fit in my regular journal. However, I didn't post very many entries, and the site became redundant when I decided to use my livejournal for this purpose instead. [CAP]

*****

* Kaplooey (17 August 01 - 25 April 02) - A Fred fansite, and the Fred zone of the BtVS Writers' Guild. Contained all kinds of info on Fred (and Amy Acker), her role so far in Angel, a fic archive, writers resources, fun extras like quizzes and desktop wallpapers, and more. This was run jointly with Nightbird, but she had to step back, and after a while I found that I couldn't keep it up, so closed the site so that the guild zone could be taken over by someone else. [CAP]

*****

* Raw Addiction Graphics (17 July 01 - 25 April 02) - Taking over from Soulstar Graphics, this was the home of the miscellaneous website graphics I produced. These were available to other webmasters for use free, as linkware. I also posted wallpapers and skins on this site, but after Molten Chaos was opened, and since I no longer had time to create web graphics, the site became defunct. [CAP]

*****

* Con Woman (Spring 00 - 19 June 02) - Photos and con reports on the conventions I'd been to over the last couple of years. I decided to close it when I started getting my personal site up and running, and have now moved the old content from here to that site instead.

The UK BtVS & Angel Webmasters' Club (26 September 99 - 15 January 2003) - A club for UK BtVS & Angel Webmasters, which I co-ran with Nightbird. Provided various services and a meeting point for UK webmasters. Unfortunately, we just didn't have time to maintain the site and club along with our other commitments in the long run, so finally decided to close for good.

Version 1 (26/09/99 - Nov? 99) - Originally, the club was just for Buffy webmasters, as Angel hadn't started airing when we launched it. The site had fewer sections, simple graphics and design, and was dark in colour.

Version 1.1 (Nov? 99 - 13/08/00) - I made a slight change to the design, and added a members area to the site. The layout was very similar to the original version, other than the navigation links. [CAP]

Version 2 (13/08/00 - 01/05/01) - Now the UK Buffy & Angel Webmasters' Club, a new design came with the new name. This had a framed layout, with much expanded content, and the colour scheme was a kind of washed out red-white-blue. The main site had a left-side menu frame with a picture of Buffy, and the members area had a right-side menu frame with a pic of Angel (much as with V.2.1). [CAP]

Version 2.1 (01/05/01 - 13/12/01) - Much the same as Version 2 (hence it not being v.3) but with brighter colours and different graphics of Buffy and Angel. However the content needed a major overhaul, so the frames gave way to a simpler version. [CAP] [CAP]

Version 3 (13/12/01 - 15/01/03) - The site was put on partial hiatus for restructuring, resulting in a much simpler tabled design. Some information plus the member listing (ie. links to 150+ UK BtVS / Angel websites) was still on the site. [CAP]

Enchilada Sunrise: So Far So Good (20/01/01 - 31/01/03 (as an independant site) ) - my 'blog (online diary), and a subsection of my personal site. It was originally updated frequently with day-to-day ramblings, but this tailed off more recently. I therefore decided to close it as a separate site, but it does in fact live on in the same location, just incorporated fully into my personal site as one of it's sections. I post there every now and again.

Version 1: Alien Groove (20/01/01 - 01/05/01) - This has to be one of the shortest-lived designs I'd had at that point. Because the site is simple, designwise, it was easy to change. I liked this version, but I did get a bit fed up with the yellowness. The aliens were cool, though. [CAP]

Version 2: Spring is Sprung [Handmade] (01/05/01 - 31/05/01) - This one lasted even less time, in the end *g*. It really was all handmade. I drew the graphics and scanned them in... but I can't draw at all which is why it looks like a five-year-old did it. Still, that was the point. [CAP]

Version 3: Look Ma, No Graphics! (31/05/01 - 06/09/01) - I finally got fed up of having graphics, and decided to create a site version without any at all. It's all done in a series of tables and font sizes. I liked this version, and I've got a couple of variations that I might use sometime. [CAP]

Version 4: The One With The Actual Enchilada (06/09/01-18/10/01) - When I decided it was time for some graphical goodness again, this is what I came up with. The ironic layout, because the site title doesn't have anything to do with actual enchiladas (or sunrises, come to that). It's a really long story. [CAP]

Version 5: Halloween H-Two-Seven (18/10/01-01/11/01) - The oh-so-spooky Halloween layout, inspired by Nightbird's... er... spooky Halloween layout. *g* The basic design is the same as the previous version, but with a change of colours and header graphic, and a big scary pumpkin in the background. Whee! [CAP]

Version 6: Black, White and Re(a)d All Over (01/11/01-21/02/02) - A quasi-news-y layout with another bad pun for the version title, in honour of my doing NaNoWriMo during November. Plus, it had a penguin. [CAP]

Version 7: Hobbit-y Goodness) (21/02/02 - 31/01/03) This design features the four 'hobbit' actors from Lord of the Rings, to go with the design of the main site which featured Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom. I've actually re-used this design, slightly modified, on my livejournal, and may do the same with versions 5 and 6 as well. [CAP]

*****

* Evil Ones Button Exchange (Oct 01 - July 03) - I inherited this site from Carla, and ran it on my own webspace, using her design, until I decided to incorporate it into Spiked & Skewered. So the site is gone, but the exchange itself lives on.

*****

* Amaranth (15/03/02 - 11/09/03) - A Spike/Drusilla 'shipper site, and the S/D zone of the BtVS Writers' Guild. I originally ran this jointly with Jessica Walker, and the design was kindly done by Noctiluca (the previous S/D guild zone owner). Unfortunately, first Jess, then myself, had to decide to drop the site, since neither of us had time to maintain it to guild standard. Some of the content survives, however, on Spiked & Skewered.

*****

* Eternal... Literally (Apr 00 - 11/09/03) - A Spike / Harmony Fanfic Archive and 'shipper site, the S/H zone of the BtVS Writers Guild, and the home of the Spike/Harmony Fanlisting. Again, I just didn't have time to maintain this site, and after thinking about it for some time, decided to close. Like Amaranth, some of the content lives on at Spiked & Skewered.

Version 0 (04/00 - 22/11/00) - This site was a Coming Soon page for a while... I'd applied to run the zone, but it took me some time to get any actual content up. Ooops.

Version 1 (22/11/00 - 13/06/01) - Another black background, this time with pink (for Harmony, you see) and grey, done not long after I got Paint Shop Pro. The main graphics are the side panels, but my layout didn't work terribly well with Netscape. Looked quite pretty in IE, though. But anyway, I got bored of black, and wanted to expand the content, so that was that. [CAP]

Version 2 (13/06/01 - 01/05/02) - A lighter look for the site this time, again with panels of graphics both sides (though this time the design worked correctly in Netscape). The content was brought up to the standards of the new BtVS Writers' Guild, and the Fanlisting was added. [CAP]

Version 3: Ain't Love Grand? (01/05/02 - 11/09/03) - I stuck with the pink-white-grey theme again, but this time reorganised the content and did a nice new framed design which worked pretty nicely. [CAP]

*****

* Fabulous Fred (25/04/02 - 08/11/05) - The Winifred "Fred" Burkle fanlisting site. This was originally a part of Kaplooey, but after that site closed, it continued on as an independant site. I closed it when it was made defunct by someone else taking over the 'official' listing for the character. [CAP]
