* The Airlock
Version 1 (Summer 99 - Summer 00) - This site actually came about because I thought I'd have a go using FrontPage, and needed something to make with it. So I decided to do a listing of my various sites. This version was pretty basic, used a Star Trek-y font on the front page, and had a curtain-opening page transition effect between the index and main pages. Like I said, I was playing with Frontpage. It hung around pretty much as it was, mainly so the domain name actually had a use, until I had sudden inspiration for Version 2. [CAP]

Version 2 (Summer 00 - 22/05/01) - Framed monochrome look, with a background made up of 'outline' graphics representing some of my interests (Buffy, Angel, Fantasy & Sci-fi, that kind of thing). [CAP]

Version 2.1 (22/05/01 - 06/08/01) - I got sick of the background, so I lost it in favour of nested tables with CSS borders for a simple boxy look. [CAP]

* Diavolo Nero
Version 1: Undead Love (17/07/01 - 14/03/06) - all Spike and Dru, all the time. Because most of my fic at the time focused on those two, so did the site design. And even when I started writing in other fandoms, the design stayed around for a while. Until I finally decided I really wanted something with a lighter background. [CAP]

* Enchilada Sunrise
Version 1: Nice Ass (2001 - 15/02/02) - this was kind of a holding design with a donkey theme... which ties in with the site title, believe it or not (yes, the title, not the version name). Don't ask. Anyway, it just consisted of links to the two subsites, and hung around until I got inspiration for something a bit better. :-) [CAP]

Version 2: Boys.Pretty (15/02/02 - 04) - nice design, somewhat lacking in content. I set the site up to have various sections, but in the end, several of them didn't get used at all. This version featured a manipulated picture of Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom (I made it right in the middle of my Lord of the Rings obsession *g*) which turned out quite nicely, I thought. Anyway, the content part needed a reorganisation, so that came with the next design. [CAP]

* Freaky.nu
Version 0: Coming Soon (Apr 01 - 30 July 02) - This holding page lasted a lot longer than was originally intended! I did actually modify it to include a list of hostees, but it remained basically the same until I managed to get a proper design done. [CAP]

* Soulstar Design
Version 1 (09/05/00 - Aug 00) - The original version of this sub-site was pretty similar to the original Airlock, only plainer. Essentially it was a list of sites I've produced.

Version 2 (Aug 00 - 17 July 01) - again, this was essentially a list of the sites I've produced for myself and other people. Did a new design when I moved the site to it's own domain. [CAP]

Version 3 (17 July 01 - 31 January 03) - And still, not much improvement in the design here. Which is ironic, since this is supposed to be my design portfolio. Yes. Anyway, this version looked a bit better, but I wasn't able to get the additional sections I had planned up. When I had sudden inspiration for a new version, I decided to go with that instead, and get a little more content in at the same time. [CAP]

* Spiked & Skewered
Version 1 (11/06/99 - 23/07/99) - When this site first launched in June '99, it was pretty small, and graphic-free. The basic design was as it remained through to version 1.2, but there were fewer sections.

Version 1.1 (23/07/99 - 05/07/00) - As the site grew, I added more graphics as well. The design was pretty much identical to Version 1.2, but the title banner was different, as were the two flanking graphics near the top of the page - they were candles from the Angelfire free graphic archive.

Version 1.2 (05/07/00 - July 01) - for this variation, I changed the title banner and side graphics. The design then stayed the same (and the content didn't change a great deal) for about a year, when I had to take the site down because of bandwidth problems. The site was then down til the next version went up in September. [CAP]

Version 2: None So Blind (03/09/03 - 29/10/01) - A complete new design for the site - the basic colour scheme stayed the same, but the graphics, layout and navigation were all new. The menu graphic has Spike blindfolded (with an arm / hand from a different Spike pic manipulated in), leaning up against the divider between the menu and the main area, and Dru and Buffy in the background. I still love the idea of this, but it just looked too clumsy, so I changed it for v.2.1. [CAP]

Version 2.1: None So Blind (29/10/01 - 02/03/03) - There wasn't a huge change for this version - really just a new menu graphic, but I think it gave the site a slightly more elegant look. This one survived for quite a while until I decided to give the site a redesign in lighter colours to reflect Spike's changed alliegance, and also move the site to the .com address and a new server. [CAP]

Version 3 - Into The Light? (02/03/03 - 01/11/03) - This version had a relatively drastic change of colourscheme, with the site no longer having a black background - this, and the graphics, sort of represented Spike's crossover to the side of good with the restoration of his soul. Yeah, I know, how very poncey ;-) But that honestly was the reason! I stuck with this one until I got fed up with it, and decided I wanted the site to return to Spike's bloodier past. I worry about me, too ;-) [CAP]

* The SPIKED Awards
Version 1 (October 2000 - 12/03/02) The original design for this site came from a vague idea I had for the Spiked & Skewered redesign - the two sites were intended to match as far as colour scheme went. And so they did. It was a fairly simple framed site, with a manipulation of Spike holding a railroad spike. Since the format of the awards would be changing after the third session, I decided to go with a fresh design as well. [CAP]

* The Sunset Club
Version 1 (Jan? 2000 - 17/02/01) - The design of this site was very simple - it's not a big site anyway, so I just made basic header graphics. Again, black background. [CAP]

* A Tomb With a View
Version 1 (03/04/01 - 02/09/02) - I was pretty pleased with this design - colours, layout and all. So much so, that I kept it for a year and a half, near enough. I think it works well with the site content. The only thing I actually changed when going to the new version, was the header graphic. [CAP]
